Lisa is an amazing Personal Trainer! I've struggled for a long time with creating a healthy lifestyle and finding a way to workout without becoming disheartened or bored. Lisa always encourages me to try my best and creates a fun, safe and relaxing environment to learn while having a laugh too! I have already seen changes to my posture, confidence and strength in only a few months. I've been training to do push ups (the proper way, with correct technique), plus kung fu! I really appreciate that Lisa is inspiring, patient and encouraging in equal measures, as this really helps to motivate me. I have been doing weekly training with Lisa for more than 4 years. During that time I have gained core strength, better muscle tone, flexibility and the motivation to keep training! Lisa has devised a tailored exercise programme using weights, body weight and cardio. She has adjusted the exercises in line with my progress so it never gets boring. She has a photographic memory and can see improvements from one week to the next. Lisa is a joy to train with and is always kind and approachable, while pushing you just the right amount. I wish to express my thanks and appreciation to Lisa for helping me achieve my goals of continuing fitness and suppleness, with her as my personal trainer, since October 2018. The atmosphere in her gym is one of relaxed and friendly calmness. I have found Lisa to be efficient, well organised but flexible in her approach. She sets out a routine for each session, based on an initial assessment when you first attend. There is variation during the session, and varying repetition, and if she feels it necessary to adapt the routine, she always gives advice on why, and then what the changes she recommends are. An aspect I have enjoyed, but not been used to, is incorporating flexibility and movement, which has really improved my degree of suppleness over the months. I have found Lisa extremely knowledgeable on anatomy/ physiology and how the body works/ reacts, and as a seasoned athlete she has gained much experience over the years, and is always happy to share if appropriate. As I had some limited movement in my shoulder recently, she was able to recommend a masseur who she uses, for a deep tissue massage, which gave a huge improvement in the shoulder, and the movement is now normal. I would not hesitate to recommend Lisa as a Personal Trainer. I find her professional, approachable, with a friendly, relaxed and flexible attitude. Lesley - February 2019
'I have been seeing Lisa since early 2017 and in that time she has helped me so much - I have lost weight, toned up and become so much stronger and fitter. But on top of all this Lisa has also helped me massively boost my self-confidence. During my first session I couldn’t run for more than a minute on a treadmill, now I run every week! Lisa has also taught me so many other exercises such as deadlifts and powercleans, things that I never thought I’d be able to do before our sessions! Lisa monitors my progress and technique and every session she plans for me, is so well thought out. Both the sessions we do together and the sessions she sets me during the week. The most important thing to me is how supportive Lisa is, she has come to both Run Norwich 2017 and 2018 to cheer me on. I've been training with Lisa for 6 months and I am already seeing some great results. I am in my mid 40's and I initially decided to contact Lisa because over the past few years I've felt like I've aged a lot. I felt like my body was losing its tone, always feeling tired, my body ached, sift joints, gaining weight and not feeling good about myself or my appearance. Over the past 6 months of training with Lisa I feel that day by day my body is transforming and I'm feeling young again. The biggest difference is myself confidence - it's growing and becoming stronger as I am. I train 4 times a week. Once a week with Lisa and the other 3 on my own. Two of my sessions are 45 minutes of powerwalk (walking as fast as I can), and the other two sessions are a combination of weight-training and different exercises that Lisa has taught me. I have bought , my own set of weights and some small pieces of equipment, which I am proud to own. Lisa has also taught me the importance of stretching and it's amazing just how flexible, with regular practice I have become. Lisa's guidance, instruction and constant motivation means that everyday my body is becoming fitter and healthier. This is a journey for me and one that I am really enjoying being on. I have known Lisa since 2002, and I trained with her for 7 years. When I was looking for a personal trainer my self esteem was very low and I was very unhappy with my body image which is why I chose a female PT. Lisa is very professional, very motivating and over the time that I trained with her confidence in myself grew. She would always push me just that little bit further, not taking ‘I cant do that’ for an answer. I had a major set back during those years, contracting a virus which presented itself with my joints swelling and not being able to walk let alone train. Lisa was very supportive and once I had recovered enough she eased me back into my training, understanding that some days my body just wouldn’t do what I wanted it to. Lisa put a lot of time in the preparation of the sessions, they were fun, well most of the time ;-)and varied. One of my main achievements was doing the 'Go Ape’ challenge. I was way out of my comfort zone but Lisa supported me, encouraged me to keep going and I was super chuffed with myself when I had completed it. After a few years of training on my own I have decided to start training with Lisa again. I like the way Lisa keeps me on my toes, and constantly moving forwards. I would have no hesitation in recommending Lisa. She motivates and encourages you so much, that success really is the only option! Kirsteen
